To paint or not to paint???

When I got my car, I bought a touch-up kit from Porche. It comes with the base colour and a clear coat. I have never used it but it sounds like it's trying to mimic the factory finish better than a single colour touch-up.

Every time I have spent money to fix a car up before I sell it, it has been a waste.
Do not shell out 1000 bucks you will not sell the car $1000 more if it is fixed. Fix the ding, and use touch up paint.

Factory paint is not very good. A good paint shop can blow factory paint out of the water. The problem with getting something repainted by a good shop is that it will look different than the rest ofthe car because it will be better. It'll likely lay better and not have any orange peel.
