Default INNOVATION - Camber Tires

This seems to be an interesting innovation in tire design - Camber Tires.

More about it HERE.

Very interesting, Tony. Would be interesting to see the concept adopted by the big guys and then this inventor merely getting royalties while we still get the latest rubber and tire formulations.

This seems like a way to run negative camber without ruining your tires. I'm a bit skeptical of the performance claims here, as this appears to effectively REDUCE negative camber by 2 degrees, which may work well for the "hellaflush" crowd, but is not at all conducive to performance. I mean, what I'd REALLY like to do is flip it around the other way and get more negative camber than porsche's front struts allow.

Or does the outer sidewall weaker and designed to flex more than the inner, allowing the tire to maintain a flat contact patch through a wider range of camber angles?

Hmm. Doesn't really make any sense to me. If you wanted this setup you could just run less negative camber.

The ideal thing would be a hydraulic adjustable alignment, so I could flip a switch for "street" or "track" and change my setup. (street = less camber, track = more).
