sport chrono and lauch control
Im more than a year and 10K miles into my 997.2. I find no reason to activate the sport chrono timer and it has remained dark for more than a year, has anyone found a use for this?
Launch control Ill admit I used maybe a half dozen times right after break in but it remains a novelty that has fulfilled its usefulness
Sport plus- another one of those things I barely remember I have and once in a very blue moon activate
Thoughts??

I'm possibly looking for 997, nice to know your thoughts. Seems like one of those things to get your attention and to antie up more $$$ pre purchase. I don't use any of the extra fearures on my watch or microwave, and I'm sure not going to on my next car. With me, less is more.

I drive in SC Sport all the time. I use the SC timer to analyze car/driver performance on a given road section - you can download the data file and analyze speed, lateral acceleration and other parameters.

I do appreciate sport chrono and the definitive benefit of the sport button which is always on, i dont need the wart or launch which are included in that package- i would get sport chrono again
i wouldnt get sport suspension- can is really tight which i like but the front skirt scapes everything and i can get this car to bottom out which didnt happen with the prior non sport suspended pasm car

If Sport Chrono were broken out from the Sport and Sport Plus buttons, I doubt many would order it. But as a requisite to get those magic buttons, I would not get a car without it.

+1. Sport is a must for the street and Sport Plus works great for the track and you've got to have them with PDK. Launch control is not a biggie (I've never used it) but it's nice to know it's there. Contrary to some, I honestly like the "wart" but I wouldn't pay big bucks to get it without the buttons.

I think it's mandatory for a PDK car simply in order to gain access to the alternate shift programs but it's worse-than-useless on a manual transmission car.
I've settled for having Sport Chrono in both of my 997s and I swear never again. I'm 80% street 20% track and never use it.

Sport Chrono plus is nice on the track. Sport is noce on the road. I hate the wart and have no use for it myself but it is bundled and I could not avoid it on my 4S. The RS is unmolested by the wart
