+100.

What I recommend is instead of playing around with 997.2 trying to retrofit' maybe add some GT3 parts instead. For instance instead of regular front bumper, get the GT3/aerokit bumper, same for the rear and put the money into other niceties. For tail light, Get red rear tail lights. Percect fit and a nicer sportier look.

That's the best comment I've heard yet! Well, because it sounds like MY car. 997.1, Factory aerokit, red tail lights, etc... Hey, we could be twins, except his is silver. Come to think of it, I think I'll push him to go stock!!!

Yup! 997.2-ize it, add aerokits, red tails, sportier components. By all means, do what makes sense to your enjoyment of your car.

OTOH, Check with the rest of us Rennlisters here first to make sure you NEVER cross the line; for example:

Why do you want to change your .1 to a .2 body? To me that is kind of like being a pouser. There is absolutly nothing wrong with the 2005-08 body style. I have a 09 and do not feel it looks any nicer than any of the 05-08 cars. You really are ruining the car by doing this.

WOW! Heated discussions. Again, not even my car, and it's a wrecked one at that. This was simply a thought, and after sharing the same with the guy who bought this car, I think he's second guessing even buying the car to begin with.

Again, wow! I'm closing the thread because it's getting out of hand in here. Sorry to start the mess!
