Advice needed..Aerokit vs Ducktail vs nothing
yes as you gather from the tittle i am torn between installing the aerokit cup front and rear kit or installing the ducktail from the Sport Classic with the front apron from it as well or...do nothing
my car is a Meteor Grey 997.2
my doubts are the following..
the ducktail is very subtle but how will it look on my car? (The SC is a very particular piece of kit, colour, wheels, etc) will it be a bit weird? and my other doubt about it is, I tend to want to keep my cars as the manufacturers intended them to be. in that respect the ducktail in my car would be an anomaly..or not?
on the other hand the aerokit is much more in your face. I like it and the presence it creates but i wonder what it will say about the driver ) it would be easier to justify (in my head) if i knew it makes a real difference on the street driving wise (no i dont track my car but I drive the car quite fast)
Opinions please!

Personal preference, the Ducktail looks fantastic IMO and would make your car a lot more unique than Aerokit, while Aerokist looks sportier and may help on high speed tracks, but you don't track!

I personally think the stock 911 coupe silhouette is stunning on its own.
IMHO, it needs no garish tinsel, whether they be ground effectz, giant wings or items from the back of a duck.

There is the option of the Carrera Wing. It is a blended style that was a factory option for the 996 Cab. I got it special ordered on my 02C2 and liked it a lot!
It is not as in-your-face as the Aero kit and it is a lot more "flowing" then the ducktail!

Three Wheelin'
i would leave it alone. to each their own, but to me there is nothing worse than taking a car that is absolutely perfect from the factory, and adding a bunch of body altertions, oversize, ugly aftermarket wheels (the black ones are the worst), and some big spoiler to complete the ruiniation of a once beautiful car. i can see adding lightweight wheels, and the panels, etc if it is going to be a track duty car, but for 99% of the people they are just attempting to make the car look more sporty than their driving woudl indicate. that and the fact that most of this stuff just doesn't look good.

I like the ducktail but I wouldn't put one on my car.

It's your car and your checkbook. What do you care what others think about the driver and what's been done to it ?
With that said, I think the ducktail on a 997 doesn't pull it off. Never been able to grasp the retro look on a new Porsche.
Nothing wrong with keeping her as is either. The car is beautiful in original form.
The Aerokit is aggressive and my car feels more planted at higher speeds than without it.
Good Luck whatever you decide. Post pics after your project !

unless you track your car and can find a straight long enough to take advantage of it, my opinion is save your money and drive it the way it was intended - no tails, no wings, no fins, an no bass boat sparkle paint.
