Default Just clayed the Window!

I just rubbed the window with a bar of clay. I think it looks
better but maybe I wasted my time.

The window is a hard substance and I am hoping some window
expert will tell me that there is no way to get the
little scratches out.

I know I could use diamond dust on the window but I am not
interested in going that direction.

The 2006 car has 88,000 miles on it so it has seen
alot of road.

Any advice?

If it looks bad and no longer clear, I'd just replace it - maybe you get lucky and get a rock chip and have your insurance do it.

The windows in these cars are actually pretty soft. There are quite a few reports of windows cracking just from people adjusting their rear view mirror and such. Insurance in most places covers a windshield replacement with a small to no deductible. After 80k+ miles, I'd expect it to be in kind of rough shape. Best bet is to just have it replaced once every other year or so.

Be careful claying the side windows, as these are "coated" from the factory with a rain repellent.

There's that glass polish. I think it must specifically contain a compound of the element Cerium.

Too lazy to google it for you.

I was just thinking of claying the side windows. The front window is smooth
as glass but the sides are rough when you wipe them with a soft
polishing rag.
