Default 997.1 High beam bulbs

I got a set of Philips H7 Vision Plus that is brighter/whiter than regular halogens.

What's 997.1 high beam bulbs? H7 or H9? and if H7, how wasy/hard it is to swap em out?

Halogen high beam H9, 65 W
Additional high beam with Bi-Xenon headlight H11, 55 W

Getting headlight out of fender is easy. Installing back can be a pain. It's explained very well in the Porsche manual.

Ok, thanks. I will leave it as-is then as my bulbs don't fit.

Do you have a 997S? If so, the high beams are xenon, aren't they? The lights are bi-xenon. If you have a regular 997 without the xenon option, then you will have the halogens.

I got C4S WITH Xenon... maybe I've been drunk but I thought high-beams are Halogens while low-beams are Xenon, while it's bi-xenon in 997.2 (looks visually different). I am now gonna double check!

I have a 997.1S and my lights are bi-xenon. The "flasher" lights are regular bulbs. I am pretty sure I am correct on this.

Correct. The low beams are bi-xenon, and the 'flashers' are literally the high beams--which compliment the bi-xenons by filling in and augmenting. A shutter is moved a bit when you go into high beam mode.

Recall that in the 997.1 cars the S models all got bi-xenons. The straight Carreras did not unless special ordered. By the 997.2 cars, ALL Carreras got the bi-xenons.
