There is one that looks very similar at Paul Miller Porsche which is a paint to sample.

That color certainly makes Guards Red (Indian Red outside the USA) look boring.

Thanks for the input guys...my son went another route. Ended up using Synergy Green which is a 2011 Camaro color. I had never painted a car before and this was a pearl with metallic. Just thought I would finish the thread I had started.

I STILL love this orange/red and will try to use it on the next car.

Almost certainly Zanzibar......better double check with him and look at some more pics. I saw this color in person and in my very subjective opinion is one of the worst Porsche colors I've ever seen!

Looks a lot like a Tangerine '73.5 911T I once owned, at least in this old Polaroid scan. Wish I still had that car.

Harley Davidson has a color they call Scarlet Red. It was first introduced on their Firefighter Special Edition bikes in 2002-2003, then re-introduced in 2008.

I had a 2002 Edition FF Road King.. the color on it very closely mirrors the orange/red in the first photo above.

I really liked (and still like) that color. It's 'red', with just enough orange in it to make it look totally different from the normal reds we see. I think it would look great on a 911.

40 odd years ago, this 13-14 year old saw a Tangerine '73 911T. That was it. He was going to have one. Well, it ain't Tangerine or a '73, but it's mine and has the same DNA! Thank you so much for sharing your '73. I bet you still wish you had that car.

Yes I do! I didn't know what I had then but turns out it was one of the highest factory optioned 911T's, including factory-installed AC, leather and houndstooth sport seats, S gauges and trim plus other options and was the final year of the long nose 911, arguably the most beautiful generation. The worst part is I actually owned it twice!

But I do love my 997!

I know this is an old thread, but I'm willing to bet that color is Signal Red (also sometimes known as Speedster Red), a 356 color. I will likely repaint my 356 that color and seriously considered ordering a GT3 in that color (got the TT instead). It is brighter than Guards Red and has quite a bit of orange in it.
