Anyone have the new 997 Turbo bright blue?
I am looking for anyone in the Dallas area that has the brand new Turbo in the bright blue. I am about to have one of my cars painted and would love to see this colour in person. Unfortunately I've been unable to make it to the last few Cars & Coffee car shows to check out the few that have been there. I would be most gratefull if anyone that has this colour and would be willing to meet up this week please send me a message. I'll buy ya a beer or lunch or whatever for the trouble! Thanks.

If you're talking about the one most of the magazines tested, that's a Riviera Blue car. If you're talking about the Turbo S promotional stuff, that's the new Ice Blue color.

It's a P.T.S. color--not for the faint of heart or timid folks!
Speaking of BLUE, I went to the Mullin AUtomotive museum today in Oxnard, California. (Former site of Otis Chandler's museum). This guy collects Bugattis, Talbot Lagos, Dehayaye--and many were in the French racing color of Bugatti Blue or Talbot Blue. One was a recent find in 175 feet of water in Lake Maggiore.
(The very first Veyron is in the shot with the two--it's the one on the left.)

If you're relatively new to Porsche you are missing a lot of the history of some of these colors. Several of these truly one-off bright colors were first seen by the public in around 1973 with the IROC series when all the drivers drove identical Porsche Carreras, each in a bright color!
