are all approved viscosity's with many various oil brands approved by Porsche. Read your owners manual for this information.

Since I've added around 4 quarts since my last oil change, aren't I partly changing the oil anyway? I was just thinking my next oil change will be the dealer 10K service.
You are replenishing the DI package which is a good thing but you are also retaining much of the dirt, soot, etc. Lubriants also have a range of different molecules ( fractions of the base stock) and as we use our cars the lighter ( or thinner) fractions are lost at a greater rate. So, I would imagine that adding oil replenishes the DI and lighter fractions but I believe the oil will get a bit thicker, overall, as you approach the 10,000 miles.

Here in Canada, I believe Porsche has REDUCED the oil change intervals on the 2010 cars. It used to be 15,000 KMs or about 9,300 miles and it is now 10,000 KMs or about 6,200 miles. I change mine way more often than that anyway.

I'd keep the love alive and change oil/filter every 5K mi at a minimum. As I stated earlier, I'm now considering 3k or 3.5k mi for oil/filter. Might well be excessive but no way can it hurt. I have no expertise nor studies to back it up other than whats been memtioned here. I know I'll rest easy knowing that this is my plan...as it is...I get antsy as I get close to the 5k mark. In college I knew a guy whos dad was a professional drag racer. He sold me on Valvoline at the time and 2.5K oil/filter change.

Good discussion...been running Motul 5-40W since my last oil change about 2K miles ago. Only noticeable difference has been slower engine crank on start up. Zero oil consumption.

Paid $12 quart for the Motul. I'll be switching back to Mobil 1 0-40 next time as the claimed Motul performance gains were negligible.

Maybe that's not such a bad thing now in the summer months, the oil getting a bit thicker, while the temperature outside here is near 100 degrees.
