i just looked at the Porsche USA web site and they seem to have some new (to me) colors listed. The standard colors are unchanged but in the metallics, Dark Blue has replaced Midnight Blue, and there are two completely new colors, Ice Blue and Platinum Silver. In the special colors there are now Ruby Red Metallic (which was formerly a regular metallic color) and Amethyst Metallic. Nordic Gold Metallic and Malachite Green Metallic have apparently gone to the great PTS paint shop in the sky.
There is the following note at the bottom of the page about the availability of the new colors:

Ice Blue Metallic is available from 09/2010 at the earliest. Amethyst Metallic and Platinum Silver Metallic are available from 10/2010 at the earliest.
The page on which I found this information and which has color swatches is, http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/91...4s/visualizer/

Kind of disappointed to see that Nordic Gold Metallic has been eliminated, but the Ice Blue Metallic looks like a nice addition. I love the variety of colors offered by Porsche. Makes it interesting!

These color changes are really nothing new for Porsche. Their color department is tasked with coming up with new in vogue colors each year and when they toss some of them into the options list they evaluate how they do. I had predicted that the Nordic Gold would be a one hit wonder. Colors like that survive at best 2-3 years and then are put out to pasture. Years from now one can immediately tell the model year of a car by the color, e.g., Nordic Gold. It immediately can date a car. (The old standby, silver, will never be out of fashion because Porsche will never go through a model year without at least one silver or silver variant available.)

Ice Blue is very nice....Arctic is gone for '11 model year, but will return. Platinum is silver with some beige to it...not really good on a 911, but ok for a Panamera perhaps. Nordic Gold was a hideous mistake. Sure, there were some decent examples of it in good combinations for those who wanted it, but it was a dead color from day one. Malachite Green did not sell well either. And who can forget Zanzibar Red from the '99 - '00 days....not long lived but one helluva strong color (orange metallic but darker than RS Orange and Lambo orange).

I love the Malachite Green. Going to Ice Blue in Turbo S. I have had many kudos on the M green color. I think the cost kept folks from ordering. Looks very good fits 911 style IMO..
Hoping I feel the same way about Ice Blue in a few months

Just because it's on the configurator does not mean a thing....Porsche's online configurator has never been 100%.
Check with a dealer anytime you have questions regarding an '11 build.

Amethyst - really? That's a bold choice.
