I know most here own several cars / vehicles because we like to mind our 997's so which is your favourite. I am not talking imaginary lotto win cars here - just your favourite other Non Porsche car that you may or may not presently own. .

For me its my 1994 Mercedes E220 Coupe. Not a fast car - or a car that can be thrown around bends but after a long day at work its really a great comfortable soother to wind down on the way home.



For an alternative to the 997 I like to take out my TR6. Again this car is primitive compared to the 997 but I still love it.



My favourite Non Porsche car that sadly I don't own is the Aston Martin Vanquish.

 

We are restoring a HD SuperGlide shovelhead 1996. Fun to ride and sound equals a 997.

My NSX. No longer own it, but it was a great car.

 

My RS4. It was a magnificent car - I'd love to get it back.

 

Same with Chris. Lucky enough to have both.

 

 

I really miss my MINI Cooper S. I sold it for what seemed like the right reasons at the time, but I probably could have just held on to the damn thing...It was one of the first ones in the States, I waited over a year for it, and the checkered roof and black stripes made it stand out. It's as classic of a design as a 911, IMHO. I'm looking forward to adding a Countryman to the stable when my GTI's lease ends. I realize it's just a car, but it just it was fun as hell, even with the noise and so-so ride quality. When I look at the pics I almost get sick--I should have kept it!

 

Although I have owned more expensive vehicles in my time (e.g MB AMGs, BMW Ms), my favorite non-Porsche was my old '93 Mazda RX-7 R1 Twin Turbo.

I bought it new back in '93 and sold it a few years later to make way for my second child. But it's the one car I wish I never sold and it will always be special to me.

I miss this - my first car... (that's not actually it, but a similar one)

 

The only other car I've owned that thrilled my soul as much as my Porsches was my Miata. Those cars are pure magic. If I ever can't afford to keep buying Porsches, I'm going back to Miatas.

 

Low-cost, high mileage, fun. Seriously.
