Unusual Engine Code to Decipher
This engine is in an '05 Carrera S. Engine code is M97/81A168665348. It's possible the 7th digit is a T - M97/81AT68665348. I know that the original engine in the car failed, and this is a replacement engine from Porsche done under warranty in 2009. From what I can tell the block is an '06. What is curious are the numbers "81A1" or "81AT". I've never seen anything like that before. Other engine codes I've seen are M97/05685, M97/05686 etc. Anyone have any idea how this engine code deciphers?
