got my first p-(toy) car at 8 - a remote controlled 928 and was hooked to the name. Took me a good thirty years to get the bigger toy, now I'm hooked to the machine...

42; got my first p-car at 40... which really makes it seem like a midlife thing, although it didn't start out that way. When I was turning 40, my wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I told her I didn't really want anything. She said I should go look at cars... and it should be a 911 so the whole family could ride in it. Can't argue with that.

I turned 40 this year, got my C2 in 2009. Still cannot decide if I want to upgrade it or not so for now just drive it whenever I can. Wanted to make myself a present in the form of 991 gt3 but lost interest after learning of what it really is. So now it probably will be more modding and probably major engine work in the future.
