Question HELP! Problems with Denison Install (GW500)

Ok, so the wife bought me for Father;s day a Dension GW500 and I spent four hours last night trying to install. The car is in pieces and I have managed to make a mistake I can't figure out how to resolve.

Mistake: I connected wrong fiber light path into fiber splice adapter (see pic) and can not figure out how to release the end. "lock is released but "end" won't come out!

Challange:
My trunk layout is all odd..( See pics) and I can not figure out how to:
#1 remove trunk liner
#2 Remove plastic case surrounding cd changer so I can gain access to cables behind changer.

Help, please!

Talking Updates

Ok, so with some help from Eric at Bumper Plugs and "tinkering" I got it sorted out and thought I'd pass on the info.

1st off I have an 07' 997 AWD (C4S) with Bose, Nav & Changer so configuration is different for this model (note layout in pics).

1) Fiber splice connector removal:
* Remove COMPLETELY the rectangular top "locking" cap.
* use small head screw driver to lift retaining clamp
* Loosely pull fiber end out
* Repeat for other end (if necessary)

2a) AMP (BOSE), NAV Cowl Removal (start here 1st as you'll need space to remove Cowl for changer)
* Grip at bottom both ends and pull straight up!

2b) CD Changer Cowl Removal:
* Wedge finger tips on both ends (top & bottom / North/south ends as oriented in pic).
* slightly pull outward then up to remove

Hope this is of value to someone one day!
Cheers!

ok, nevermind my last question. Black center clip goes to the RIGHT for anyone's future reference.

Now can't get the CDC cover off. Out then up? I can't get it to budge.
