Default can't get pagid yellow - what's second choice?

I've placed an order for Pagid yellow brake pads for my 997 S from Craig at Rennstore. The trouble is he doesn't have any and isn't sure when they'll arrive. Backorder. He also says that he's called all over and can't find any.

I plan to use them for DEs. I'm on my way to Road America and hear that it's pretty hard on brakes. So I plan to put Castrol SRF in and get the yellows. I hear they are terrific and are easy on the OEM rotors.

Craig says that he'll have Pagid blacks soon. I have too concerns. One is that blacks are supposed to be a lot harder on rotors. Second is that Craig doesn't have them in stock and my DE is in early July.

Any suggestions on my second choice of pads?
Who has pagids for my car in stock?
Thanks for the suggestions.

Get a copy of Excellence and Racer mag and start calling...or google. Try GMG, Lindsey Racing, Northstar, OG Racing, Paragon, brake technology, Livermore and so on.....

If not Pagid use Performance Friction PF01

Well, I've never really found Yellows any easier on rotors than any other racing pad. I've used all sorts of Pagids and Performance Friction pads and most are very good: Yellow or Black, PFC 97 or 01. With enough heat your rotors are going to develop spider cracks whether Yellows or PFCs. If you aren't comfortable with Blacks and can't get Yellows, try some PFC, which are significantly less expensive. I'm finishing up a set of PFC97s now - extraordinary performance and about the same number of events as with Yellows (cracks).

I too love the PFC 97 which I use on my track car.
If you have nice wheels, make sure you wash them after a hard day because the PFC dust is corrosive (like most performance pads).

+1 for Carbotech. I use their XP8s since I'm on street tires. I have used their XP10s on other cars - both are great, priced nice, and last a long time.

Guys, I have to say that the new pagid blue RS5 is the way to go. Look at the temp graph on their site. They share a similar coefficient of friction throughout the heat range but start working earlier.

These are the NEW blues, NOT the 14s

It would be nice to be able to try the new Blue RS5, unfortunate they don't make the front size for the 05+ C2S.

That's unfortunate. I really like them and other than a little noise fine on the street.

If I ever feel the need to get more grab I'll probably get the blacks. For the most part, trackday are between 20 and 60 minute sessions and I think that, despite the hype, the blacks are better suited to that type of run. By definition, the yellow are an endurance compound which implys longer sessions/races.

Found some yellows!
Northstar had one pair of fronts and Pelican had one pair of rears.

Thanks for all of the comments and suggestions.
