Tire recommendations? Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110?

I know this is probably been answered a billion times, but I've been off rennlist for a while so I'm just going to ask for recommendations and responses with links to other threads are fine.
I need new tires for my 2006 997 C4s Cabriolet (305/30R19 rear 235/35R19 front), and the Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 are about $400 less (for a set of 4) than what I’d pay for a new set of Bridgestones.
Has anyone researched the Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 to find out if they are worth a damn?
There’s only 3 reviews on Tire Rack, 2 of which aren’t good so I’m a bit worried about being pennywise and pound foolish.
My OEM PS2’s lasted a whopping 6000 miles before cording, so despite how much I liked those I simply can’t afford them.
My current Potenza RE050A’s have lasted for about 20k miles, so that’s pretty good for me – especially on a performance car.
Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 are another option, but they are not Porsche rated and seem like they could be a bit softer.
This car is garaged for the winter, so snow/ice isn’t a factor and generally speaking it is only driven on sunny days so rain isn’t a significant factor either.
I’m no fan of Pirelli so I’ve excluded the PZero Rosso’s from consideration.
Recommendations?
Thanks,
Ron

I do and find that they work well for AX / DE / Street here in sunny so. cal. No experience in cold, wet conditions.
OP, don't hesitate in buying them if you want an excellent performance tire that is reasonably priced.

Try the Nitto NT01 on the track and you'll never drive a PS2 on track again (except maybe as a rain tire). Its not a fair comparison, of course, since the Nitto is R-compound and a lot less expensive than the PS2. We prefer the Nitto to the PSCup which is a fairer comparison but even more expensive than the PS2.
For yrs have used Sport Cups with no complaints....other than $$.
Wider new rear fitments required I'd leave the S.Cups and find other.
Nittos new are generating some speed relative road noise that I am not accustomed to......will be curious to see how that developes with use.
I really can not comment on handling yet.

+1 on the RE11.
For my current set, though, RE11s were on backorder so I got a set of Hankook R-S3 instead. I've only got three track days on them and less than a month of street driving, so I'm not sure what I think yet. They were a bit more expensive than the RE11s.
I figure I'll post about them more once I've got enough street and track miles on them to have an opinion.

For street use I love my Hankooks on the 996 GT3. I have the Michelins for the track but they are a little harsh for long drives with the wife. The Hankooks definitely do not have the razor sharp handling but they truly make the ride a bit more compliant and are great in the rain. Good compromise for someone who occassionally wants a driver tire and keeps things tame on the street. I got 13k miles out of the rears and fronts are about 1/3 worn.

I also like the RE11's. My car had V12's when I bought it and I thought they were VERY greasy that are 19X 295 and when I went to the RE11 I went to 18 X 265 and the car had good stick on the street and are good for autoX. I had them on my last DD for 3 summers.

Here is my vote:
Street tires for track:
AD08R the best
RS3
R888 love or hate here
R11 stiff and long lasting
Occasional Track:
Super Sport. The most lovable here
Street:
V12 nice and cheap
Bridgestone S04
Nitto Invo Good value
Bridgestone RE050 OEM and pricey

When hot they have plenty of traction and break away pretty smoothly. When cold they break away really fast with no warning, back end just snaps out hard.
They also flat spot overnight and it takes 4-5 miles before they smooth out. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of.
In summary I would say they are a great street tire, and okay for AX or track as long as it is not cold.

RE11 was the answer in 2011, maybe, but the Super Sport is a better tire in 2014. For the record, I hated those R-S3's (post #21). On my second set of Super Sports now.
