Default Le Mans

Unofficial but was surprised to see the results this morning.....

Audi came in 1,2,3 overall. None of the four Peugeots made it despite strong performance in the qualifications. This brings Audi tied with Ferrari for the number of Le Mans wins.

Bye the way, Porsche 997 GT2s got 1st and 3rd in the GT2 class.

Of course, Porsche holds the record at 16 overall wins at LeMans while Audi and Ferrari each hold 9 overall victories. If you count the Bently that several few years ago ( basically a re-badged Audi), Audi would have 10 victories)

Watch alot of it on Speed. Very good coverage and some exciting moments. Tom K's spin off a downer but he handled it with class as did the BMW driver.

DVR' d all of Speed's coverage of 24 Hours and watched most of it throughout Saturday and Sunday. Great pit coverage and commentary. Camera work from the pits was spectacular in HD. Watching the Corvette guys literally tear the rear end off the wrecked car while screaming at each other was fascinating. Same with the rear suspension repair of one of the Peugeot's. Justin Bell 3am walkaround was a riot. Kudos to Scott Pruitt as well for his excellent commentary.

Congrats to Audi for the sweep and Porsche for the win in GT2. Attending Le Mans has officially made it to the top three of my "bucket list". Maybe 2011?

I agree. I watched more of it than I should. The coverage was fantastic, even the 6 hours on the web (with no commercial breaks!). Justin Bell was really, really funny.

I still want to go to the race, but can't help but feel coverage from here may be better, and certainly more comfortable.

Nice weekend of racing, between LeMans and F1. The DVR rocks.
