Dan, what mileage would you recommend changing the engine air filter and cabin filter. I have both arriving today from Suncoast.
Thanks.

many of the items listed are 1/yr or 10-15k mile replacement items (under regular use).. How many do you really need to keep "in stock" to begin with?

I replace mine more often than most--we had a lot of fires in the area creating a lot of ash. Gets into both filters. Taylor it to your area. If you stay off dirt/dusty roads and just do regular roads you can probably go 20,000 miles on them. Remember not to judge the cabin filter too harshly when you see that black look to it--they are carbon filters!

Also, it's a nice idea to cut apart your air filters to get a good idea of how much stuff is really getting into your filters. When you look at the top or bottoms you can miss out on how much accumulates in the crevices.

At my one year service the dealer replaced the cabin filter, necessary--I think not. But they have to make up for the fact that I did the oil change myself.

Yeah, but it's only a problem if someone puts them on too tight.

Tires on spare wheels, a hose, bucket and microfiber towels. That's my list of maintenance items on hand. I'll buy the rest as required at that time. I live in a big city and availability is not an issue.
