Default GT3 Lip Spoiler Tip

I have a 2007 C4S with a GT3 front bumper. The car is lowered and I (like others) frequently scrape the front lip spoiler. I recently replaced it with a new one and wanted to protect it as much as possible so I went to Autozone and bought a package of "door edge molding" for about $11. The molding is black, about 1/4 wide and fits the bottom of he lip perfectly. I used a little clear silicone caulk at the ends, the front corners and the center to ensure it stays in place. Now when I do scrape, it's the $11 molding, not my $250 spoiler.
