Default 997.2 warranty issues?

I was wondering what, if any, warranty issues owners of 997.2 cars have experienced.
I had my water pump replaced under warranty at 1500 miles. There was an intermittent "tea-kettle" whistling sound noticeable at idle.
I now have 31,000 miles with absolute reliability and no further issues of any kind. Truly a great car.

Anything you've discovered that needed dealership repair that was found to be defective.

Bob,

Porsche Quality Control is getting terrible. In order to "make a statement" to Porsche you should send one of your Porsches to me! That'll teach 'em!

I had to have the defective/improperly installed Targa roof seal replaced when the Puget Sound rainy winters highlighted the leak at the first rainy winter 3 months into ownership in Jan 10.

Also had a slow coolant issue fixed - a small hose/oring between the pump and the engine needed replacing. Took a lot of work to get all the things off the car to get to the point of being able to replace that $1 o-ring. Sounds like coolant leak issues are somewhat common.

I know others have had issues with the high-pressure fuel pump. My 09 has not shown issues yet (at 7500 miles over 18 months) in that area.

I do have a front AWD component grinding at startup issue, and a popping sound from the back end that are as yet not resolved.. I'll be pressing them for a resolution shortly.

I had a leaking power steering pump on mine at 500 miles. Replaced under warranty, no further issues of any sort.

i have ~1,600 miles. a bit of a rough idle--might be HPFP but going to run another couple tanks of gas through. other than a dash rattle around the glove box, it's been fine.

HPFP early on, around 1200 miles. No significant issues since then.
A member of our local PCA chapter with a 2010 997.2 C2S has had repeated issues with his Drive Off Assistant and I believe they are replacing his HPFP although it has not failed.

I cracked a weld on my exhaust header. So far that is it in 12k miles and tons of track time. My 09 is a very early car. I ordered it in July 08 and picked it up in September 08.

31K is impressive for a 997.2! I just passed 16K and the only work that I had done other than maintenance was the front muffler clamp fix that was covered by the W913 workshop campaign. No other issues other than the occassional buzz or minor rattle, mostly on rough roads.
