That's always the question... My folks warned me: after the first two-thirds of a century, it's just patch, patch, patch.
On the whole, I think so. They operated on my back eight days ago and ran some tests on Tuesday. This is a procedure they've done before, and it is 'routine' with the right surgeon, but for some reason, the aftereffects are more debilitating this time. The tests Tuesday should have been trivial, but having them pretty much knocked me on my ***.
I'm waking up, doing little chores for a while and having to go back to bed. Can't stay alert long enough to post sensibly. Damndest thing. Here I am in the shank of middle age and acting like an old man.
I think I'll be fine in a few more days.
