Default trickle charger--when to use it?

I've been searching the forums for trickle charger info and I've got one on the way. Here's the question, though: If I'm only driving the car once or twice/weekly for now, should I use it or wait until I drive even less frequently?

thanks--

I would use mine whenever it was at least a week of non driving. Just got rid of the car and had no battery issue for the 4 years I owned the car.

Driving the car once a week should keep the battery serviceable.

Less than once a week and you should consider keeping a charger on it.

I use once/month on stored cars.

No problems as long as you don't keep touching door handles and 'waking up' the electrical system.

I use the Porsche Battery Maintainers on my cars at all times. If it ain't being driven, it's plugged in. So easy to do.

My two cents: not sure what you mean by "trickle charger." Make sure you are talking a quality battery maintainer preferably with the CTEK or Porsche logo. Since my car is not a daily driver I plug mine in every time I park it.

LOL! Well, I can only drive one Porsche at a time.

I usually only get to drive on nice sunny weekends. But, I'll easily do 300-400 miles in one drive, at least 3 times per month. When I park in the garage, it gets plugged right in. And even after a +300 mile drive, the maintainer goes righ into action, and does a little charging for about an hour.

They are also plugged in for the entire winter hibernation process.
