Default Tire Pressure

My $20 digital tire pressure gauge is about +2-3 pounds higher than what the Tire Pressure Management System says for all 4 tires of my tires. Which is more accurate: the Porsche TPMS or the digital gauge? Thanks.

Regards,

TPMS is not super accurate, but it's within 1-2 PSI. One thing you have to note is that when you're adding air, TPMS may take a min or two to get updated.

I run with 34 front, 38 rear cold.

After warming up, TPMS usually shows +4 degrees from cold for all four corners. Sometimes it's off (down) by 1 degree, but never high.

Cheers.

TPMS is very precise but not necessarily accurate.

it will give you consistent readings, +/- 3-5 psi, depending on who you ask.

2009+ TPMS is very accurate. I have a nice digital Longacre gauge and it matches TPMS hot and cold.
