Oil change, combining two different types of oil?

it depends again of the usage pattern. it was always a rule of thumb to change oil at least once annually on a weekend car and twice a year on a daily driver.

8qt of oil runs about of $70-$75. When you do it yourself it takes whooping 20min to get it done. If you`re very lazy you can change filter annually but do more oil changes if you do track your car a lot.

My 09' C4S PDK Launch is my DD and I average 27k mi/yr. Based upon this, I change oil & filter every 5k mi. Might be excessive but my fees are reasonable and it can't hurt.
