Default Anyone Familiar With OH Dealer

Anybody familiar with Stoddard Porsche in Willoughby, OH? I'm looking (internet) at a couple of used vehicles they currently have but I'm 2500 miles away. Experiences??

Thanks -- Dan

I have dealt with them in the past a couple times, even know one of the salesman. Top notice dealership all the way around! I have a dealer about 10 minutes from my house but choose to go to Stoddard when I need to because of the high end service. Stoddard is about 45 minutes from me fyi. If you have any other questions or anything, give me an e-mail/private message here and I will be willing to help you out anyway.

been to 2 other ohio dealers but never stoddard, from the comment above they should be good to go.. from my personal experience dealing with dealers in ohio has always been my preference.. dont know what it is about ohio but everything just works out better, also for me being in florida its very beneficial, something about how the states have the same tax laws and talk to eachother when a car is bought when it comes to buying a new car i actually only pay about 5% tax on the difference of trade/vs new car instead of the 7% florida sales tax..

either way, goodluck with sale.. ohio is a good state to buy a car in... if your trading a car.. check the laws because eventho CA doesnt give you tax savings on trade Ohio might give you partial...

I had a colleague in GA who would only order his cars from Stoddard. Supposedly they were excellent people to deal with!

I tried to buy a used 997 from them a few years ago without luck. They did not want to move off of their asking price by more than 500 or so dollars. I made them what I thought was a very fair offer for a 2005 base 997 and they laughed (literally) at me. Two days later I bought a 2005 997S with fewer miles for $3000 less than I offered them for the base car. The salesman called me a few days later and I got the last laugh. They still had the base 997 seven months later.

I know them quite well--bought a couple Audis from them and my Porsche.

Good people. PM if you have questions.

After driving a few of their cars, I bought my targa there in November. It was a very smooth experience. They tend to bring in low mileage cars that are very clean. However they do not budge much on price unless the car has been there from time.

Brad Kennett was my sales rep. He was very thorough, returned my calls and e-mails very promptly. Zero pressure. I would buy from Stoddard again.

My only advice is to get a PPI done at Steinels or Autobahn Extremists (both local indy shops). My 996 had 2 oil leaks even though it was a CPO car. So, obviously some of the check marks on the CPO checklist were, well, just check marks.

I'm nearby, so if you want a unbiased opinion of the condition, I could look for you if you are close to a deal.

Thanks for the feedback.

The members on this site are the best I've encountered on any forum. Someones always willing to help or to pass along advise to keep you out of trouble or save you $$. And quite civil I might add!

AgRosa Brad on Rennlist is the Brad K mentioned above, salesman at Stoddard. Great, honest guy.. but he does not work in the body shop. If you want his # to get his honest opinion, PM me or him.
