Default Quality time with my girls!

My wife went to Victoria for the week-end a few weeks ago with my son to visit some relatives, which left me alone with my daughter to spend some quality time together. After shopping together (for her) one day, I asked her what she wanted to do the next day. She asked if she could help me with my car, because she wanted to spend some time with me doing something that I wanted! Well, my wheels were off as I had just installed my PSE, and in preparation for my brake flush and mounting my new Carrera Sports, so I suggested she could help me detail the brake calipers, springs, shocks, etc (excuse my analness...) which she eagerly agreed to!

We had a great time together, and it truly was a wonderful bonding week-end. She repeatedly asked me afterwards if I thought she did a good job cleaning (which of cours she did) and if she could help me with the car again- "just her and me". I'm not sure life gets much better than that as a father.

The project was not without supervision however, as my youngest girl provided the quality control:

+1. You can't refuse her the keys in the future. She is very smart. When time comes, you'll have to take her for DE.

Mine is only 3 but she recognizes Porsches and reads "B-M-W" on the roundel.

Are you using that dog as an engine jack?

Awesome post. She'll be asking for keys someday soon, and of course you can't say no now.

Detailed calipers - $0
Detailed shocks - $0
Grin on daughter's face - priceless

That's what it is all about - way cool. Thanks for sharing.

Oh yea, you may want to start collecting shotguns. In a few years, you're going to need 'em.....

Best post ever.

When my 7 yr old son helps me detail my carrera classics, it's always fun to watch his face go from super serious to huge grin to super serious each time I look over.

Very nice post.

Now if you had a boy, the pictures would be more about making a mess than about cleaning up.

I'll have to take a picture of the fingerprints on the outside of the passenger door next time I get a chance...
