On the way back from San Diego where I picked her up.
Drove up HWY1 a bit further than SF...up to Bolinas to enjoy the drive to my favorite beach.

P.S. Who said lens flare is bad?

I don't want to derail the thread, but I didn't get another 911. I wanted to spend less on a car this time and even used '09s were more than I wanted to spend. Perhaps someday I'll have another one - as you can tell, I'm still lurking around Rennlist.

Here's my car coming off the delivery truck from Plano,TX. It was shipped straight to Premier where I took delivery and handed it over to Sam and crew.

Wow that is a weird looking crash.
Looks like a sideswipe and then a spin in traffic.
I hope you were ok.

Both look great. What makes the newer one "far better" if I might ask? Is the engine's responsiveness that much improved? Is the new car smoother and more comfortable? Not having driven the new one, I'd love to know.

Thanx!
Prior to this, we had a Montego Blue 335i coupe which was a pretty close color to Cobalt Blue. Obviously, we are very partial to blue.

Here's the specs: 6mt, sport shifter, sport steering wheel, PSE, chrono, adaptive seats, full leather, bose & cd changer...I love that the original owner had put on a Euro bumper which looks great w/o bumperettes.

-Steering feels much much tighter
-Acceleration is noticeably quicker
-PDK is remarkable. Lightening fast shifts. Ability to go auto or shift manually. And you can pick normal, sport or sport plus depending on how aggressive you want to drive
-Launch control is a fun cool gadget - i dont use it much as to not harm the engine but when you want to blast off its fun
-PCM is much much better, Touch screen is just great and the NAV is worlds better
-PSE is different - not sure yet which i prefer - sound is a little different and the tips are totally different
- and then it may just be options i didnt have before but they make the driving experience much nicer - bluetooth, NAV, iphone hookup, Sat radio and heated/cooling seats

Dont get me wrong - i loved my 997.1 S cab. Selling it was a mistake. Its a phenomenal car and i dont look down on anyone that has it. The 997.2 is just an improved version of an amazing automobile. With that said, I LOVED my 2002 boxster S. I have never driven a Porsche I didnt love. But i havent driven that many. The best i drove was a 997.2 tuyrbo with PDK..it was a shame the drive only lasted a couple minutes..i hope to own one one day. People ask if you can really feel the difference and if the power is noticeable - ABSOLUTELY YES!!
