Default H&R Springs and RSS Spacers OH MY!

As promised fellow Rennlisters I've bought and installed H&R Springs along with RSS Spacers. My car is a 06 Carrera and I'm keeping the stock 19" Carrera Sport wheels.

At first I was concerned the 15mm rear spacers wouldn't work but with the right toe/camber adjustment they work fine. Many thanks to Bryan at RSS for the advice and supplying the spacers so quickly. He suggested 7mm fronts and 15mm rears...superb service!

I'll post better pictures sometime this week as I haven't had a chance to take pictures when its daylight and not on my blackberry (plus I'm working 7am to 6pm).

Here's what my Carrera looked like stock:

Here are two more photos I took this evening in the parking garage. I'll try and grab some daytime photos this weekend...

Hello. Nice car Cams,
My car has very similar mods to yours. Its a 05 C2 Coupe in Seal Grey. I have installed H&R Cargraphic spec lowering springs, as well as the front spoiler lip painted in the body colour. It looks really nice and strangely enough does not rub. My car does not have spacers, cause I have installed 19'' Sport Classic wheels from a 997C4S with 305 rears

That's how it should look, nice job. I too have H&R 7mm front & 15mm rear, but no new springs. The springs make the car look great.

Its worse but I like it. If you have never ran a car with lowering springs then be prepared for a harsher ride which isn't as forgiving as the stock springs - its liveable for sure. In terms of performance its better because the car feels like its on rails and handles like a dream. You feels bumps in the road moreso than before but as I said prior its not that bad.

Its not too low and don't understand complaints people have regarding speed bumps and curbs. As a driver you need to roll over each under 5mph or idle speed. In Dubai we have wicked speed bumps and I can hit them head on so long as I slow down prior.

I love it. Worth the money for sure...!

@CamsPorsche

Your car really looks "da bomb". One question: Do you run 305 tires in the rear. From looking at the pictures I can tell that it must be pretty tight in the wheel wells. No rubbing issues whatsoever? Which tire brand (some are wider then others)? Rolled wheel wells?

Thanks a lot for you advice - I am looking at a similar mod at the moment. BTW: I am running H&R springs as well. Great looks and better handling on smooth roads. But reduced grip in bumpy turns because the car develops some more "hopping". As you said, one can live with that.

Bye, Stefan

Here are updated pictures. I'm running 295's in the rear not 305's and no rolled arches at all.

Looks great. I just installed 7/15mm spacers last night on my C4S. I can see why lowering the car improves the look further. I'll drive it this way for a while before thinking about new springs.

Don't get H&R's then...go with Eibach as they are a softer spring. I find these H&R's too stiff...

If anyone likes them, I have a set of the springs available. PM me. I put coilovers in for the track.

Great looking setup, the lowered car is WAY slicker.

Oh boy...

Photos like yours make it really difficult to stay within budget! LOL

Your car looks gorgeous! What kind of tint do you have?
