For Rodsky and Ivangene. I might not know anything about this DME report, but why does it have to be any value registered if the car never exceeded the rev pattern within the range that can be recorded? Maybe it was just a well maintained car. Again, misfire values...I don't know anything about them...but they look 0% to me and the Porsche Service Advisor said they're normal. Who knows how many of these CPO cars that you speak so highly about have values between 3 and 6, but you would never know because ' it's a CPO car and we trust them '... Also,Ivangene, why do you keep saying this car has NO COVERAGE? How about the 1 yr and 1 month left on the Factory Warranty?

Anyway, thank you for all the brainstorming we've been doing here for the last week or so. With your help I've learned a lot! I've decided to offer the Honda dealer 51K for this Porsche the way it is and my maximum it's going to be 52K. If they want,I'll take it. If not,I found a 2006 997 C2S with 13000 miles on it,with CPO at the Porsche dealer for 56K,but with no options on it,just 19's and a clear bra. Thanks again.

It looks good to me....
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!
I find odd to see nothing at all in range 1. It may be totally possible, or it may be new replaced ECU. It is just not very typical for a pre-owned car with some mileage on her. I just looked at my PPI DME report - I have only range counts section printed with 501 in range 1 and 56 in range 2. No misfires.

did you compare total distance (in km) to what was claimed for mileage?

No,I didn't compare them but I think I posted the whole DME report that said something about that. How do you find out?

For Dallison28. They already did a full service on the car that included an oil change when I took it for PPI.

sorry OP - I didnt see it had a year plus on the factory warranty... if it covers everything bumper to bumper then you have 2 of the 3 - to hell with it...your risk is low, the cost is fair and you like it, the car checks out OK - no major red flags on the PPI....

and to the post above - seriously?? have Honda guys change the oil... i would never in a million years let them touch my car even to check air pressure

Shoot - you still have some factory warranty. You have said the PPI and DME is OK. Go for it! I am still not sure why there are no over-revs (that may be entirely possible - maybe the car was really never driven to redline). Check to see if some expert can read and validate the DME. GL.

to the OP, looks like you really want that car and no matter what the people here have told you, you would look at it "the other way". As I mentioned it before, if you really want that car counter offer them $4K off. Whenever you have a problem in the future, the repair cost is $4K less...

Sorry to all because I haven't written anything in a few days now. I think I have GREAT NEWS!!! I dropped the deal for the 2007 C4 from the Honda dealer. I found another Porsche which is basically purchased already,I signed the papers,so in this case unfortunately it's too late to ask for your opinion and back out. I believe it's a RARE FIND,because it's a 2002 911 TURBO(996 TURBO) with 5000 miles on it!!! YES,YOU HEARD RIGHT!!! 5000 miles!!! It's amazing that this guy kept this car for all these years without driving it!!! In this case I'm 100% sure that the mileage is accurate, because it's been purchased new at the Porsche dealer where I found it and serviced there it's entire life. The guy had the entire service history on it,EVERY SERVICE RECORD,that has been done it's on paper with the mileage on it. HERE COMES THE BEST PART: The car is being sold to me CPO by the Porsche dealer and it's loaded with options like AERO KIT(7500$ option), Aluminum interior, heated seats, full leather,Bose sound system etc.

I'm buying it for around 58K in these conditions,so in this case I'm happy, not worried that I'm not making the right choice. Part of the deal it's a full front, including mirrors and sides and back CLEAR BRA. I LOVE IT!!! I'VE NEVER IN MY LIFE DRIVEN A FASTER CAR THAN THIS!!! I mean the thing is a BULLET!!!
