Valentine 1 Install in 997.2 Coupe
I am planning to install my V1 in my 997.2 coupe. I want to use the wire source in the interior light module. Using search, I did not find an install for the coupe.
Using the DIY from the Renntech board, I did an install in my 997.1 Cab. but do not know if the wire color codes are the same on the new model.
Has anyone done an install using the wire bundle in the interior light/ rearview mirror (Rain sensing)?
Also, I can find no information on gaining access to the wires by removing the interior light in the owner's manual. I did find info on emergency closure of the sunroof. Is that all I need to gain access?
Thanks in advance.

Wire codes are pretty much the same,as I recall.
(On review try removing just the light assembly first, see if you can get all the access to the wires.)
The directions for emergency sunroof are fine, just be careful with the removal of the homelink buttons because the switches come apart easily, if you pry only the top of switches, (easy to reassemble).
the wires are easy to access. Here is link!

Suggest you follow my guide, posted some time back. Recommend against buggering up any of the wiring harnesses by cutting into wires. Just do it correctly with a dedicated fuse in the fuse box.

I agree with Edgy. The fuse box in any car is usually the best place to tap into for accessories if you can get to it fairly easily, and in the 997 it's very accessible.

Thanks Larrytrk, that is the link I used for the 997.1 install. Good to hear the wires are coded the same. I will try to remove just the light module and see what happens.
