I very seldom play with the paddles.... I just drive it....
The few times I did play with the shifters it seemed to work great... very fast...
I preferred a manual trans when I went shopping but I don't think I settled by buying the PDK...

The only time I go to the paddles is to downshift before an aggressive acceleration. Overall, I'm extremely happy with how the PDK manages things for me. It is a bit scary at times that you don't have the reminder of rowing through the gear box as a physical reminder of your rapidly increasing speed, but I'll gladly have that along with the reduced times when autocrossing. Can't wait to get it out to a familiar track.
Thank you everyone for your input. As we can see its about 50/50, which for me who drives a Tip, is very interesting. When i purchased my car in 06, Tips were not nearly as popular as the manual. Now having driven both , i find the PDK smoother, but missed some shifts automatically in auto mode and Sport Plus with the PDK. I have never missed a shift in sport mode with the Tip. I would definely get the PDK as it takes alot of work out of the car, but NOT as much fun as the manual. For me then as is now, the auto is a must as if i need my wifes car (E350 MY 10) for clients, or more space, i can leave her the P car. The truth is that i feel better with my choice of the Tip after the Poll and after driving the PDK.

Thanks...I am loving the paddles and I got a deal on them (just asked Champion direct if they could do better than what was advertised and to my surprise they said yes!) So as for mods...it wasn't bad cause hell the PDK turbo wheel from Suncoast is like $980. They work great and I found a nice winding rural road on the way home from class today..and enjoyed manual ****ing in the paddles quite a bit. Took me just a few days to re-tune my brain to L-down R-up and am good to go!
Anyway can't justify putting the $$ back in the market or anything...and can't take it with me! LOL
