Default Real deals?

I've been looking at the market for 2009 cars over the past 3 weeks.
It seems like dealers are all well stocked with these cars but no one wants to deal beyond 10% off MSRP. I don't get it. This forum seems to indicate that many deals were had at 20% or more below MSRP and I can't find anyone moving more than $15k on a $110K car... What am I missing?
TIA

I bought my CS2 in November when PCNA was offering incentives. Paid 8K under invoice which caught my attention. Perhaps this incentive has gone away.

if you find a new 2009 it should be around $10k less - maybe $15

Last month I helped a buddy find and buy a brand new 2009 leftover with MSRP of $102k for $79,900 including covered shipping from RI to NC. The deals are out there and in this case shipping was a non-issue. So, expand your search radius and find a motivated seller. The PCNA website dealer locator is a great way to see the inventory of every dealership in the US. Start in your state and radiate out.

Congratulations. At some point you just have to realize that you're trying to buy the car of your dreams not negotiate the deal of your dreams.

Enjoy the car.

That's exactly the type of deal I'm looking for. I figured that if I was going to loose 40K in 2 years, it would be better to have PCNA loose the first 20 for me...
I'll be looking harder!

See, that's exactly what I was thinking. 115,200 - 15K for a 2010 or - 22 to 25 for a 2009... Total = 95 to 97... In my case, the car that I'm looking for - C2 (s) with PDK and Sports Chrono should be just at 100 so it should be about 80... But I can't get anyone to get anywhere near there!

The tide could be changing. I have been looking to add a Cayman S or MINI to the stable and dealers and private parties are not that motivated. 09 Cayman S in Texas stickered at 75k 276 miles and asking 66k! You kidding me?!?! I told them they should be selling it for 20% off/62k and offered them 59k. As usual a Porsche dealership with no professionalism, they just let this buyer wonder off somewhere else.....

Ah, it is could to not need a car

I bought an 09' in Sept that listed for $99,400 for $79,800. My friend just bought an 09' leftover that listed for $100, 400 for 16% off. You are simply missing playing hard ball. It took him almost a month to make the deal.

I bought a 2010 C4S today for $14K off MSRP. Today was last day of current incentive program for March. Dealer said he got back $7K rebate back from Porsche. A colleague bought a 2009 C4S Cab last week from Auto Gallery in Woodland Hills, CA for $20K off MSRP, had it shipped to CT.

I offered Walter's Porsche a deal on a leftover for my wife last week. PDK CAB very similar to mine and they said no deal. They didnt even try to counter on it. She said forget it a told me to order her a Panamera S or Turbo as I can get 8%-10% of on it locally without negotiating.

Pretty much the same deal I made in September of 09.

Without a factory incentives, 8-10% is a fire sale on current models.

Where is this happening?
