Default steering doesn't feel right?

At the straight ahead position at about 70mph+ my steering feels loose and dead with about 2-3cm of play. As the speed increases it seems to get worse with wheel movements of 5cm or 1/2 inch either side not really moving the car? At high speed the wheel seems to gently oscilate in my palms with me having to input lots of little adjustments.

This is quite unnerving as once past this amount of turn is feels unstable esp at higher speeds?

Something I should see the dealer about or a feature of the rear engined chassis?

I would go to the dealer or reputable mechanic to check alignment and suspension. my steering has no play at all and is dead precise.

Something is wrong. On any modern 911 in proper shape you wiggle the steering ever so slightly and the car will wiggle in response. No dead spot at all.

I agree. The steering on these new 911's gets tighter and the
front end bites down onto the pavement even more the faster you go.

You didn't buy a new Corvette by mistake did you?
