What's the difference between this and the standard front apron? Is it primarily the two area's noted below. Looks nice by the way!

Looks nice, although not visually that different, which maybe the purpose.

the opening is a bit bigger making the apron a bit bigger overall plus there is a spoiler lip on the lower side

I like it! I wish that lower lip was also available for the 997.1 cars, I wonder if it will fit?

Cool pic too! Nice shot with the rainbow in the background.

Excellent chance that it will fit. It's too expensive to be making all sorts of changes to those factory dies. Just a guess of course.

BTW, I agree: Definitely one of the nicest pics out there.

Default Hamman

I always loved the curled up sides on the front chin area of the older 993gt2...Maker is Hamman and had shipped from germany. I believe Hammsn has one for 997.2Some of their stuff is way over the top but really liked this chin spoiler so sent with it.

I like the last one with the curling ends, but it looks like it would scrape on every ramp. Are the noses of the 997.1 and 997.2 different in the contour of the bottom? I would really like the carrera sport front lip if and when it becomes avaliable, unfortunately I have a 997.1 and wonder if it would fit.

Has anyone tried a swap yet?

Default yes

In addition I am riding on techart coil overs so thats helps to drop the car even more, the drop + the lip make for a ride that is only trusted in the hands of a driver well versed in operating a very low riding car.... your point is right on.

Even though I'm a 993 guy I happened across this thread and thought I'd share this new lip spoiler that GT3 Tek has just introduced. I love the look and the subdued but agressive lines it give the car. The other thing I like is factory fit with no permanent modification to your car which is why I installed the GT3 Tek 993RS aero parts on my 95'.

My friend Allen, has installed one on his 06' 997.1 and I attached a pix for you guys to see.

Cheers,
Joel

OH I like that! Any idea of price and where you can get it?

Nevermind, I just found their site, very reasonable price on the lip, and I also like their rear spoiler.

If you have seen it could you give me an idea the quality of the product and the fit?

I saw Allen's when he first fitted it and I was very impressed on the design & quality of the part and how well it fit without any modifications or extra fitting to his car.

I was actually so impressed that I drove to their shop here in SD and checked the parts for my car out, then after seeing how perfectly the parts fit on my car without any permanent modification I organized a 993rennlist group buy and bought their polyurethane 993RS splitters, poly rockers & fiberglass wing for my 95.
I'm still blown away on how easy it was to prep for paint, the DIY install, how good it fit and ended up looking. That group buy ended on Monday after really good response from rennlisters.

I currently have a good relationship with the owner of GT3 Tek due the 993 group buy, would you 997 guys like me to see if he is willing to do the same kind of group buy for you on the 997 polyurethane parts?

Cheers,
Joel Bowman aka ZP44

I would be in for the front lip and the rear spoiler, possibly the rear diffuser but I would like to see a few more picks of that before I decide.

I'd be in for a 997.2 C2S lip.
