Why no sport chrono? (Just asking, not trying to be offensive.)

There was a very nice and very well priced car at my dealer that had everything (more or less) that I wanted except for sport chrono and I passed and went the custom order route. It cost me at least 6 months and some extra money. What do you think?

You're not kidding. After my 06 997, I got a BMW 550i sport. It felt like a boat compared to the 911, even though it is probably pretty good in its own right. The 911 fits like a glove though.

So you can live without a 911: THAT'S what the CGT is for! Too bad they priced it so wrongly!

Just got loaded by FEDEX Auto Transport today! Hopefully, it will be here next week.

I'll post more pics when I receive it. Can't wait.
Congratulations.

Funny. I switched from a 997.1 to a BMW 135iC last year to get more "responsible". On paper the BMW was the right car for me, BUT I really miss my 997. Numbers on paper cannot tell you what you are really missing. Hopefully I can switch back some time soon. Just cannot justify taking the hit on depreciation on the BMW just yet.

Ehhh....., SC....., doesn't do much for the car, just makes the gas pedal more touchy at the cost of having that "wife-is-in-the-store-while-you-wait timer" on the dash.

Agreed, on a 6-speed it does nothing for performance. However, on a car with PDK, it does alter the shifting maps in Sport and Sport Plus.

Wow, beauty! I have owned a couple of white sports cars including a 1998 C4S and it's a great color.

I see you got PSE too. I have never been a big exhaust person, but since getting my 2005 997 in January I have been thinking more and more about a PSE.

I absolutely love my PSE. The sound is amazing. Probably wouldn't have paid the extra on a new car if I hadn't heard one. Certainly would not buy a new 911 without one in the future.
