How different does your 997 feel after you're racked up miles? Need advice.

In my experience, urban driving is much harder on cars than track time. Six months of trekking up and down the streets of central Houston caused a symphony of squeaks and rattles in my C2S cab that two years of track time never did. Track time makes you buy a lot of tires, brake pads, and oil changes but I don't think it's particularly hard on the car itself.

I should have mentioned my mileage--currently at 44,800. Still amazingly tight. Few rattles. Definitely an A+ for a cabriolet. My miles are a mix of long distance drives and around town.

Just drove my 07 Targa 4S across country. Tight as can be @ 3800 miles and still smiling after 4 days. The car is Good ! 20k on it now and feels great.
Hope you will find the car of your dreams, I did and I don't regret one little bit. Once a while my bank account reminds me of my expensive youth dream, but you can live with it. Just drive it when the "pain" comes up.
Have fun !!

I bought a '09 C2S in June of '09. I just turned 25k on the clock and can't notice any difference from new. Tight and quiet. BTW, I drive mine like I stole it most of the time. I had a '07 and the experience was the same. Great cars that are meant to be driven and enjoyed.

It depends on where the miles are racked up. 50k in the sunbelt or west coast is a hell of a lot different then 50k in the northeast or upper midwest.
