There is a Porsche designer, today, working to design led's that look like regular old incandescent lamps.
Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not. The auto industry has gone overboard with the LED's, and Audi is probably the worst offender. Too many cars have bling with the LED's that makes it look cheesy in many cars in general.
If Porsche can do it and make it look more classy & old school then I would enjoy that a lot more.
997.2 design emphasizes the grillwork a bit too much for my tastes. Related to PTpeecar's comments, I prefer any design which continues to emphasize the big, round, historical, warm, fuzzy headlamps over everything else. Stray too far from that design cue and the cars stop looking like "a 911" to me.
This is why I dislike the current crop of Turbos and why I like the GT3/aerokit cars in a dark color.
I'll take anything that looks more like a CGT! The 997.2 IMO, looks more resolved, fewer loose ends. IOW, the lights line up and look like a complete design - not an add on. No biggie.
