Default White smoke

My car is finally broken in, and the spirited drives are very enjoyable, but tonight i noticed that the full tthrotle accelarations leave a trail of smoke.
I guess its normal because the car is performing wonderfully,however it is a humid night out (likely getting snow tomorrow) and temp -1.5 celcius, and its much more noticeable when there are headlights behind me. My car has been broken in by the book and it cosumed 2.4 litres of oil by 4000kms. Is smoke normalÉ

Is it truly smoke or water vapor? With the temperatures that I would expect from you in Canada I would think it is it that, vice oil burning. The severe scrubbing going on with these engine's emissions equipment just won't let burning oil pass through.

How warm was your car when you noticed that? If you floored before the engine was at op temp with the exhausts hot it's probably water vapor.

white = steam (water)
blue = smoke (oil)
black = soot (carbon)

I agree.

When you have a love of boats, you uninentionally glean a vast
knowledge of the inner workings of engines and all of the signals (good or bad)
that they are giving off in the form of smoke, sounds, etc.

Thanks for the replies, it was white and i think it was most likely moisture. The oil temp was about 95 c
(mid range)...thats pretty much the temperture that i start gunning it, then again my car has done some short trips, i guess the moisture adds up in the engine. I'll have the oil changed soon and ill see how it goes.
