Nice car, best of luck and health with it!
I sold my 98 Carrera S as soon as I drove the launch edition 997S. It was clear Porsche had gotten it right!

Thank you for all of your feedback! Great points made as well. I'm honored to be surrounded by such an arsenal of absolutely incredible cars and crazy P-Nuts like myself...so THANKS!!!
I'll provide some interior pic's shortly. In reference to the red vs. yellow belts, the biggest factor honestly was availability and the price. I came across the red ones pretty cheap, so I jumped all over them. I actually have a friend with a yellow '95 993 C4 with the darker beige interior like mine with red belts. It doesn't sound like it would be a good match, but it POPS! Combined with the red calipers, all red taillights, and the red Carrera S emblem, I think it might bring it all together.
I'll provide pictures of the interior of that car as long as he doesn't mind so I can get your feedback. The belts now are black, and with the factory black mats as ordered, it looks good like that as well.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone have a good lead on a set of yellow belts if I end up going that direction?

Thanks again for the compliments and comments. Thanks for the lead Nugget!
Here are some pictures of my interior, and below those are pictures of the 993 interior I mentioned with the red belts. I forgot his seats had the red piping. That definitely makes a difference now looking at the two side-by-side. I agree that the yellow may look better given the sneak peak of yellow below the doors.
Sorry for the streaks caused by my flash. I don't have the best camera.

I know it comes down to personal choice, but I'd leave the black belts, or else go to yellow. Just my opinion. I think red belts look best with black interiors.
On further reflection, if I wanted to change the black belts, I'd consider silver ones, since they would coordinate with your nice silver e-brake handle, dash trim, etc.

I love speed yellow 911s! Congrats on the car.
That 993 with red piping on the tan interior doesn't work for me. Black with red piping is hot, the tan and red - not so much. Just my taste, but if it works for you, go for it.

keninirvine and Mspeedster, I'm right with you now that I look at it more. I think the black belts will stay, at least for now. Thanks for the feedback everyone!!!

I'm spreading the word as we speak. As ga993 mentioned, I too wasn't truly convinced until I drove one. Actually, I drove three more just out of pure impatience waiting to pick up my car. Once you drive one, and I mean really drive one, the creature comforts combined with a hauntingly similar exhaust note of my old '71 911E, there's no comparison in my opinion. BUT, I guess I don't have to tell you! NO REGRETS other than I waited this long!

Congratulations! It's nice to hear from a 993 owner recognizing that the 997 is also a great car.
I also prefer the black belts, on a yellow car in particular. The red ones in your 993 matched the seats' red piping but even so I think they clashed. Just my 0.02. Whatever makes you happy!

Thanks ADias!
Also, I forgot to acknowledge Chris C.'s comment about his comparison between his '98 S and his launch 997S. Being a former '98 C2S owner myself, I second his opinion. Of course, looking back at all of my past cars, I wish I had room for all of them (along with the $$$ to keep them) since I miss them all to some extent, but that's a completely different topic.
Glad to have joined the dark side.

Gj325, the Tubi sounds incredible! It's poppy and very old school sounding if that makes sense. It has a pleasant tone inside the car (it passes the wife test!), it looks absolutely incredible, and when you get on the gas, it screams absolute PORSCHE! It's not as deep V8ish as maybe a Borla or a B&B, but I'm absolutely sold. I can only describe it as a very stainless vintage sound without getting kicked out of your neighborhood by the HOA if that makes any sense.
