A decent product to alter front bumper cosmetics
I used this product to provide a better cosmetic appearance of my lower front bumper when I modified it to install my remote radar unit.
This company does't make a unique kit for the 997, so you have to buy the generic kit and trim it to your own measurements.
The product was high quality.
I would reccomend getting the black powder coating and buy the larger rubber edging to push around the edges.
It is held in place by being snug and friction. It can be additionally secured with Permatex black silicone.

Shovel, no. Snowblow - yes.
Just don't want to move the car until I am ready to let the excess air out of the tires (now at 58psi) and take it out for a spin come spring.
Not meaning to look like a VW - just needed something to mask where the Passport Radar pokes through the black ABS plastic of the bumper.

As far as holding it in place, you may be in for a surprise when you get up to speed.
I had a slight encounter with a branch in the road that hit the larger center portion of my 997s
It was a perfect hit, in that the force of the branch pushed this piece back, and sheared open each and every one of the little clips that hold it in place.
The first two seemingly solid repairs looked good..but failed as soon as I hit highway speeds.
I was able to use a great plastic glue to reattach the clips..otherwise I think I was looking at a completely new bumper cover.
Bottom line...save the old part and don't trim off the clips.
