Default Evaluate a potential deal for me?

Kicking tires....let me know what you think.

'06 992 C2S Cab
16K miles
CPO
Arctic Silver/Black
Full leather
6MT
Nav
Power/heated seats
19'' Classics
Bose
CD changer

Seller asking $58.5k. I was initially looking for an '07 or '08, but I like the low mileage and the CPO on this '06. It's WAY out of state, which is a hassle, but I could make it happen.

Thoughts?

Of course I will sell you my Coupe, but here is a Cab for you! I found it in my local CL. I know nothing about the car/ad. 55k...low miles spec'd almost like the one you are looking at!

I'd keep looking. I have been looking for a "s" coupe for a while. During my search, I have uncovered a larger percentage of cabs over coupes for sale. I think the abundance of cabs might be in your favor. Check on autotrader, cars.com and porsche.com. I think you'll agree.

Yeah, I think $55k would be a pretty good deal. I've looked at autotrader, cars.com, Porsche's website, and ebay daily for about a month now. I like the color and the options, and the CPO is certainly nice.

Assuming I get stuck paying CA sales tax and shipping the car home, that makes the deal a little less attractive. I'll mull it over...

I am not sure which car you are talking about. The one your looking at for 58.5k is in CA or the one on CL is in CO. My understanding is if you buy a CA car if they put it on a truck to deliver it, no CA sales tax. If you drive it off the lot, there is sales tax. That is what I was told from a dealer, but I don't really trust dealerships! Check your PM.

I'm pretty sure by buying from a private seller I won't be hit with sales tax until I register the car at home. Buying from a dealer might be a different scenario. I would plan on going out and looking at the car then trucking it home. Thanks for the offer on your car, but I'm set on a cab.

Then you shouldn't be hit with the sales tax. However, my shipping experience with my wife's car...... I recommend driving it.

I've considered it! Would be about 2100 miles to get her home.

Your proposed car is similar in specs to mine and I would have guessed it was worth a little more than that. The others are probably more up to speed on the exact prices in the market now, but I would buy my current car at that price in a heartbeat, especially if CPO.

1500 dollars shipping? 1500 dollars open air motoring fun

I bought an old fashioned bra for my car and whenever I drive it on long road trips I put it on! It has worked out nicely.

Also, 2006 model year did not come with TPMS standard, fyi.

Excellent point! I'll consider it. Wish it wasn't February

I bought a 06 C2S coupe with 6K miles and pretty much loaded ($99K MSRP) with CPO for $55.5K 4 months ago... $55K seems fair to me.
