Some time ago I drilled a small hole with threads in the bottom of my 2 canisters and screwed in a pet **** drain. This has allowed my resin to drain totally instead of sitting in water. My water volume before I have to switch resin has more than doubled. Big savings.

Hmmm that's interesting and I wouldn't have thought about that. Maybe Moe can chime in and tell us if this makes sense ? I have mine hooked up to a pressure washer so once I turn off the tap water I could just keep running the pressure washer to drain the cannisters and not have to drill the hole. Thanks for the tip !!!
