Default LED fog light/Daytime running light for 997.1?

Anyone's seen a retrofit of 997.2 LEDs on 997.1 front fog light/DRLs?

Ok, I should have searched... there are some produced (SpeedArt and TechArt), but none that I found OEM quality... the Techart looks the best, but it's not a plug/play and needs its own bumper!

Any other I missed?

Someone was working on one, but price-wise it was pretty silly.

Yes I saw that... it's ridicolous! specially the Speed Art, $1500!!! are you kidding! it actually looks terrible and I wouldn't pay even $200 for it, totally rice, not sure what were they thinking! The full row at the bottom, I see that on all Civics around town! At least the Tech Art looks pretty cool... and only, umm, $1000?

Unless it's like under $300-400 it's not worth it.

The sad thing is that it really is not a complex job. First you take the existing housing with the integrated driving light or "fog" light and turn signal and open it up, and lay in two types of LEDs--yellow for the turn signal function, and a modest set of whites for the 'fog' light or driving light function. If you do it right you don't even have to change the control switch in the cockpit. Add the appropriate load/resistance so that the car thinks you haven't changed a thing.

maybe a retrofit of 997.2 lighting setup into the 997.1 can be done? Anyone check? Otherwise I'd go with Techart if I were you as they are a TUV certified tuner and the quality and electronics should be guaranteed to work I'd think.

It would be a lot of work. You would have to change the entire front piece. The light is of a different size and shape. Also, the light switch is completely different in the 997.1 vice .2 cars. (There is no front fog light any longer).
