Default Looking for a 997S Blue Coupe

Guys I need your help. I am looking for a Cobalt or Aqua Blue 997S coupe. I would prefer 06-09 miles under 40k miles, prefer 6 speed.

I have been pouring through the classifieds on autotrader, cars.com, craigslist, 6speed, rennlist, etc. I have tried to speak to few dealers, but wow that is a story for another day.

If anyone knows of a nice one for sale. I have cash ready and waiting.

I would be happy to give you a dollar budget, but I think we all know what they are worth. The nicer the car, the more premium etc.

Thanks, in advance.

Hennessy in Atlanta has an Aqua Blue C2S Coupe CPO with 7,495 miles on it for $79,945.

I would be nervous about an owner who drills holes in his front bumper.

Could be double-stick tape?

Hennessy is where I got my car - very nice to deal with. Have had two Lexus SUVs from them as well - great service and sales there too.

Thanks Guys, i knew I could count on you.

I contacted Hennessy, I think they want a little too much money for the car, but let's see what they'll sell it for.

Nathan. I saw that car and felt it might be ok until I checked the car fax. The car fax said the last reported odometer reading was 8,273 and he is saying 4,589 miles on the ad. I also didn't understand this on the car fax...

Sold it and kind of regret it. I heard later , the guy who bought ran out of talent on the track and totaled it.

In my experience, it is the dealers that love to drill holes in bumpers, and they sometimes manage to create 4 holes, 2 for the mount, and 2 for the excessively long screws for the upper plate mount. In one case, I found they even managed to mount it about 2 inches off center. Goons obviously.

Damn, that's pretty. Makes me wish I'd seen our 997.2 in that color before we bought the arctic silver. Not that I would give up our drive train, but I wonder what that guy would want to swap body panels?

My plate wasn't even mounted level.

I had to drill out the four holes myself to get my bumper plugs to fit...

I told my dealer..no drill BEFORE I signed off on the papers and took the keys! The complied. Last car had two holes too which also took me time to drill out for bumper plugs to fit which still sort of looked odd to me. A fill and re-spray likely would be better no?

My rep was Michael Mills - really decent guy. If you've already talked to someone else though, I guess you stick with 'em.

My car was low 80s new last May. That car has some very nice options, but not new. +/- some options (and pricey PDK), I think you are right - 79K is too high. I would think 70-72 as a guess (don't know what that LSD is worth), but otherwise guessing MSRP was probably around 90K, 20% depreciation should put it in the 70s - that car new would probably not get $79K at end of last year. It is not an "S", has no full leather - still a very nice car, but...

Inventory is tighter this year though, so that could work against you.

Here is a beautiful brand new 2009 Aqua C2S:

I think they're asking $80K for her out of the gate. Ask for Duane Smith and tell him Don from Pittsburgh sen you.

Woops...link took you to their search function. Just select 911 Carrera and click "show vehicles".
