Brake vibrate
I feel my steering wheel vibrate when braking from 60mph or more.
Mine has standard steel brake. Anybody experience this?
No vibration during city braking (low speed)

Need more info....
How many miles on your pads and rotors ?
Have you recently slammed on the brakes in an emergency situation ?....therefore creating a "hot spot" on the rotor leaving excess pad deposits ?

it's 90% likelihood it's warped rotors.
good news: easy to diagnose, easy to fix.
bad news, not cheap because you can't turn the rotors like in the "good old days", you have to replace them.

That could be it. What would warp rotors on a street car? Rapid 'unwanted' cooling?

I have experienced warped rotors a little in the past on a test car I took out, and the vibration that you are feeling can be a result of them. Generally hard braking without ANY reasonable cool down will lead to warped rotors (iron). It's not something we routinely experience in the US--more of a European phenomenon due to the speed differentials.

Dan: Assuming hard braking, what cool down method do you recommend?

It doesn't take much to cool down these brakes to avoid warping. Simply taking another spin around the track with minimal braking will work in a racing application, and for "normal" street driving avoid shutting down the car after a seriously hot braking episode. Sometimes if you put the rear parking brake on it can aggravate things as well. If you have a dark garage and immediately park your car after such driving, turn out the lights, close the garage door, and simply look at your iron brakes. They can be glowing red. You want to avoid that, at any price.

It could be warping, or if tracked (OP didn't specify), could be glazed pads. If glazed pads, it will go away after some hard braking (like break-in procedure), if warped, then as others said gotto change rotors!
