Interesting...I'm surprised as well. I would have thought the R8 to be the quicker of the two from a roll.

Well, R8 was just about equal to 997.1 C4S from stand still as you can see from Fifth gear test.

Still, I believe in this video, the R8 driver was just kinda sleep. C2S must be faster but not by that much at all!

Im totally NOT surprised at that video. Having driven the r8 r tronic I think the PDK is way better. However the r8 "feels" easier to drive vs my C2s. I'd imagine that gap would be smaller vs the C4s. Now that Audi and P are "sister" companies, is it possible to see the PDK in an Audi?
Oh and BTW, from a price prospective, the r8 comp is the TT.
