Only you can determine whether it's worth a chance. It you drive ultra conservatively, perhaps you can get away with it. But you should remove it, at least. It won't get better on its own. I have tire/wheel insurance so some other guy gets to buy them for me.

Seems logical that wider tires with possibly softer componds and more weight distribution = higher chance of picking up sharp debris compared to other cars

I had a nail in my tire and was losing a lot of pressure, while, I WAS TRACKING in Portland! Thank goodness for TPMS! I used the tire sealant, and drove it for 400 miles back home and then for another 100 miles before I took it to a shot. Patched up perfectly and I wasn't losing pressure at all before I changed to winters.
I suggest, to go next to a good tire shop, pull it out to see if you lose pressure, if so, have them patch it up and you'd be fine!
