Default Looking for tips on running wires from the rear

I am at the area (exposure of the rear grommet) - where people have suggested running wires from the interior to the engine bay.

The area circled in red is the safe grommet to poke through correct?

Once I make a slit and feed a wire feeder through - any idea where will I end up in the engine bay?

I am feeding a wire for a radar unit from the rear license plate area to the interior. The path did to take? Did you Go behind the heat shield that seperates the rear part of the plastic bumper from the engine? In orther words, what what route from the rear grommet to the externeal license plate area?

Addtionally what route for wire from the rear grommet to the dashboard area? Follow the wiring the hugs the console?

What path?

Lift up the carpet? If so any tips on doing it?

This path? (not my car in photo)

My recommendation is to always follow existing wiring routes so that you don't create a future problem with odd wires, such as when dropping the engine, etc. during future maintenance.

Makes sense.

The large budle in that rubber carries the harness the from the ECU.

The smaller grommet is to run wires to the rear (an unused one provided).

I just wanted to conform that before sending anything through it.
