Default New Wheels - AP/Volks/Forgestar etc.

Contemplating new alloys and tbh I'm looking on every Porsche forum I can find for inspiration/suggestions.

Have to confess the car is a 987 but the 997 forums seem much more active.

I'm looking for something in 18" and the names in the subject leap to mind along with Compomotive (I think they are pretty much UK only though).

The car is meteor grey.

Suggestions appreciated, thanks in advance.

Which 987 is it? A Boxster or a Cayman? (The number 987 is meaningless to us when it includes two totally different styles of Porsche). What's on it now? Are you merely bored with them?

Ah sorry yes, a 987 Boxster, not Cayman.

It's currently on the stock 17" "Boxster II" alloy and yes bored is a pretty fair summary, I just fancy a change combined with needing new rear tyres soon anyway so it makes sense to do both at the same time.

I don't track the car or do anything other than normal road driving so performance isn't really a factor.

Yes they are a bit of a wildcard as I'd never seen/heard of them until I saw the at this one place.

Right now I'm very keen on the AP Designs stuff, but I know nothing of them as a company - I guess I should simply be going off whether I like the wheels or not, but wheels are one area where it seems two sets can look the same but there can be a huge difference in price.

Go to www.wheelenhancement.com and check out their 100's of installed wheel pics. They are also a great place to buy.

Different wheel size and offsets between Boxster and 997. You should post at Racing / DE.
